We believe that education is the only solution through which are beneficiaries can sustainably escape from vicious cycles of generational poverty.
Libaas Welfare Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in India that aims to empower vulnerable communities. Our focus areas include improving health, promoting sustainable livelihoods, ensuring food security, and providing life skills training. Within our organization, we have an Early Childhood Education program that is dedicated to the holistic development of children aged 3 to 8 years. We offer short-term courses, typically lasting 2 to 3 months, which are often residential and cater specifically to young men and women from rural areas and urban slums. Libaas Welfare Foundation is registered under Section 8 of the Indian Companies Act 2013. We gratefully accept donations, and these contributions are eligible for tax exemptions under Income Tax u/s 80G(5)(vi).
Our Vision
Libaas Welfare Foundation's Vision 2027 aims to make a positive impact on 10 million individuals from impoverished and marginalized communities by the year 2027. We strongly believe that creating lasting change on a large scale requires intervention at the individual, relational, and structural levels. Education is not merely about gaining knowledge; it plays a crucial role in shaping our lives and providing a foundation for a joyful and secure childhood. Unfortunately, numerous children in our country cannot attend school, which denies them access to education, opportunities for growth, and a happy childhood. Many of these children are forced to work in harsh conditions to support themselves, while others are at risk of falling into a life of crime and substance abuse.
The Libaas Fellowship is a unique opportunity for young graduates to contribute to the improvement of education in India. This two-year, paid, full-time program aims to create more doers who are passionate about making a difference. By engaging the youth in real-life challenges and providing hands-on experience, the fellowship offers a deeper understanding of the realities faced by both urban and rural India. Founded in 2021, the Libaas Welfare Foundation is committed to raising a generation of individuals who are willing to lend a helping hand.
