How We Teach Skills That Turn Into Jobs: Skill Development ; Digital Empowerment

At Libaas Welfare Foundation, we don’t teach certificates — we teach competence. Our Skill Development & Digital Empowerment program converts everyday potential into workplace-ready ability: digital literacy, e-commerce & warehouse skills, data entry, customer handling, and sustainable delivery with EV mobility. In plain steps: we find learners, train them practically, equip them, place them in jobs, and mentor them until they succeed.

Step-by-Step: How the Program Works (Practical Roadmap)

1. Outreach & Candidate Selection

  • Conduct community meetings, posters, local volunteers, and school/NGO referrals.
  • Prioritise rural youth, BPL families, SC/ST and women candidates.
  • Short screening: basic literacy check, interest survey, and availability.
  • Final selection list + parent/guardian consent for minors.

2. Orientation & Career Counselling (Day 0–1)

  • 1–2 hour induction: explain course, career paths, attendance, assessment, and placement guarantees.
  • Share success stories, expected salary ranges, and EV/green mobility benefits (if opting delivery roles).
  • Form small batches (20–30) based on location and role choice.

3. Training Design & Curriculum (15–30 days)

Core modules (mix of theory + hands-on):

  • Digital Basics: computer use, typing, MS Office basics, email, internet safety.
  • Data Entry & DEO Prep: speed & accuracy drills, spreadsheet basics, sample entry tasks.
  • E-commerce & Warehouse Ops: order workflow, packaging, inventory basics, barcode handling.
  • Delivery & EV Handling: two-wheeler basics, battery charging, route planning, road safety.
  • Soft Skills & Communication: spoken English basics, customer handling, teamwork, punctuality.

  • 14:00–16:00 — Practical drills / simulations
  • 16:00–17:00 — Soft skills + assessment drills

4. Practical Labs & Simulations

  • Computer lab practice for DEO; mock warehouse with packed boxes for pick-pack practice; mock delivery runs in local area (supervised).
  • Use real tools: barcode scanners, inventory sheets, basic courier apps.

5. Assessment & Certification (End of course)

  • Weekly quizzes + daily practical checks.
  • Final practical test: timed data entry, order packing task, mock delivery.
  • Issue a completion certificate + basic digital portfolio (list of skills learned).

6. Equipment & Support Distribution

  • Provide uniform, ID card, safety kit.
  • For delivery roles: allocation of EV scooter OR facilitation with partner for subsidised/loaned scooter.
  • Provide a printed placement kit: resume template, interview tips, contact list.

7. Placement Partnerships & Job Linkage

  • Pre-arranged interviews with partners (Zepto, BigBasket, DealShare, Spencer’s etc.).
  • Campus-drive style placement days — employers interview on site or via video calls.
  • Role matching: Delivery Executive, Picker/Packer, DEO, Inventory Controller, Hub Supervisor.

8. Post-Placement Mentorship (6 months)

  • Weekly check-ins first month, biweekly next two months, monthly thereafter for 6 months.
  • On-job troubleshooting, soft-skill refreshers, grievance support, performance tracking.
  • Upskilling options after 6 months (advanced digital courses or supervisory training).
